With his dying breath his father whispered to him that the book was evil and would bring nothing but misery, but all he had been able see was the power it could bring; such was the pride and vanity of youth.
Now more then fifty years later he sits hiding in terror in dilapidated ranch guarded by a pair of Hellhounds he knows his father was right - the book may have brought you money, women, and respect; but it has also brought you unwanted attention from those both good and evil whose skills and knowledge make your spell casting abilities look like like more then a conjurer at a children's party.
They are coming - he can feel their presence like a storm rolling in. His only hope for survival is that the demons that he summoned and bound to this world in human flesh return with the package he sent them to collect. If not then the demons swore oath to take vengeance upon those who have taken or killed their Master or be consumed by the fires of Hell itself.

Although Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro has reestablished a foothold in the country, she needs to rebuild her network of allies. One of the most important figures resides in Dabril, a small village due to celebrate its yearly festival of light and forgiveness. Petulengro hopes that an entourage of Pathfinders might participate in the festivities and endear itself to the Society’s former friend.
